Billy Fury (pe numele său real Ronald Wycherley) a fost una dintre primele staruri britanice ale rock and roll-ului. De la sfârșitul anilor 1950 până la mijlocul anilor 1960 a avut hituri precum Wondrous Place, Halfway to Paradise și Jealousy — în anii 1960, 24 dintre single-urile sale au intrat în clasamentele britanice, egalând atunci recordul deținut de Beatles. În anii 1960, piesele sale au petrecut în total 332 de săptămâni în clasamentul britanic. Fury a avut și o carieră cinematografică, apărând în filme precum Play It Cool (1962) și That'll Be the Day (1973).
Compilația The 40th Anniversary Anthology a fost lansată în 1998 de casa de discuri Deram. Setul cuprinde 63 de piese pe 2 CD-uri, acoperind creația lui Fury din perioada 1959 până la mijlocul anilor 1960.
