Freedom Call este o trupă germană de power metal fondată în 1998. De-a lungul carierei sale, a lansat un total de paisprezece albume, dintre care unsprezece sunt albume de studio, și concertează regulat în întreaga lume.
The M.E.T.A.L. Fest este o înregistrare de concert pe Blu-ray lansată în 2023 la casa de discuri Steamhammer. Conține 17 piese înregistrate live în timpul turneului Metal Empire Tour 2023. Înregistrarea prezintă atât clasice precum Freedom Call sau Warriors, cât și piese mai noi, inclusiv M.E.T.A.L. și Metal is for Everyone. Durata totală depășește 70 de minute de power metal energic, într-o atmosferă de concert live.
La momentul înregistrării, formația Freedom Call era alcătuită din Chris Bay (voce și chitară), Dan Zimmermann (tobe), Nils Neumann (chitară bas), Armin Donderer (chitară) și Lars Rettkowitz (clape) – formula cu cinci membri care însoțește trupa în turneele actuale.
