Future Islands este o trupă americană de new wave din Baltimore, Maryland, care îmbină romantismul noului val cu energia post-punk. În formație activează Gerrit Welmers (sintetizatoare și programare), William Cashion (chitară bas, chitări), Samuel T. Herring (voce) și Michael Lowry (tobe).
Albumul People Who Aren't There Anymore pe vinil colorat aduce douăsprezece piese de la King of Sweden și The Tower, trecând prin Give Me the Ghost Back, până la piesa finală The Garden Wheel.
