Gov't Mule este o trupă americană de southern rock fondată în 1994 de chitaristul Warren Haynes și basistul Allen Woody, foști membri ai The Allman Brothers Band, împreună cu bateristul Matt Abts.
Triplu-albumul The Deepest End: Live in Concert a apărut în 2003 la casa de discuri ATO Records și conține în total 41 de piese de concert. Cele trei CD-uri prezintă versiuni extinse ale unor piese precum Blindman in the Dark (peste cincisprezece minute), 32/20 Blues sau Sco-Mule, iar setlistul include atât compoziții proprii, cât și standarde de blues precum John the Revelator sau Goin' Down. Înregistrările documentează energia spectacolelor live ale trupei, care îmbină southern rock cu blues rock și improvizații jam.
La momentul lansării albumului, formația era alcătuită din Warren Haynes, Matt Abts, Danny Louis, Andy Hess și Kevin Scott.
