Jools Holland este un pianist, dirijor, cântăreț și compozitor britanic, care în 1987 a fondat big band-ul de nouăsprezece membri Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. Din 1992 prezintă emisiunea muzicală BBC Later... with Jools Holland, pentru care a primit Ordinul Imperiului Britanic. A colaborat cu David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler și Sting.
Albumul Pianola: Piano & Friends aduce pe dublu vinil douăzeci de piese înregistrate alături de numeroși invitați de prestigiu. Printre artiștii colaboratori se numără Tom Jones, David Gilmour, Herbie Hancock, Gregory Porter, Joe Bonamassa, Lang Lang, Jamie Cullum și Rick Wakeman. Materialul include prestații live de la Royal Albert Hall și Chelsea Television Studios, precum și piese de studio cu acompaniamentul London Contemporary Voices și Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. Albumul acoperă blues, boogie-woogie și aranjamente clasice.
