Korn este o trupă americană de nu metal din Bakersfield, California, fondată în 1993, considerată unul dintre pionierii genului nu metal. Un semn distinctiv al trupei este combinația de chitări grele, linii de bas profunde și vocea expresivă a lui Jonathan Davis.
Follow the Leader a fost lansat pe 18 august 1998 la Epic Records și a devenit al treilea album de studio al trupei, precum și cel mai de succes titlu din punct de vedere comercial, cu vânzări de peste 9 milioane de copii. Albumul a marcat o schimbare de abordare – pentru prima dată nu a fost produs de Ross Robinson, ci de Toby Wright și Steve Thompson. Pe album apar numeroși artiști invitați: Ice Cube în piesa Children of the Korn, Fred Durst de la Limp Bizkit în All in the Family, Slimkid3 în Cameltosis și comediantul Cheech Marin în piesa ascunsă Earache My Eye. Albumul conține 13 piese, inclusiv hiturile Freak on a Leash și Got the Life.
La înregistrare s-au alăturat: Jonathan Davis (voce), Head și Munky (chitare), Fieldy (chitară bas), David Silveria (tobe), Zac Baird și Davey Oberlin (claviaturi), C-Minus (gramofoane) și Kalen Chase (voci de fundal).
