Gregg Allman a fost un muzician rock și blues american, cântăreț și compozitor, care în 1969 a cofondat trupa The Allman Brothers Band.
Albumul Southern Blood este al optulea și ultimul său album de studio, lansat pe 8 septembrie 2017 la casa de discuri Rounder, la patru luni după moartea lui Allman. A fost înregistrat la FAME Studios din Muscle Shoals, Alabama, alături de producătorul Don Was. Ediția CD în digipack conține 13 piese pe 2 discuri, inclusiv înregistrările live din 2016 ale pieselor I Love the Life I Live și Love Like Kerosene, precum și documentarul bonus Back to the Swamp: The Making of Southern Blood.
