Richard Strauss (1864–1949) a fost un compozitor și dirijor german al erei romantice târzii, cunoscut pentru poemele sale simfonice, opere și o vastă creație de lieduri. A fost unul dintre cei mai importanți dirijori ai epocii sale, conducând Opera de Stat din Bavaria și Opera de Stat din Berlin.
Albumul Into The Fire a apărut în 2018 la casa de discuri Erato și îmbină liedurile romantice ale lui Strauss (inclusiv Die Nacht și Morgen!) cu ciclul Trois Chansons de Bilitis de Debussy și ciclul contemporan Camille Claudel: Into the Fire al compozitoarei britanice Joby Talbot, dedicat destinului sculptoriței Camille Claudel. Înregistrarea cuprinde 19 piese.
