Joyce DiDonato este o cântăreață de operă americană, mezzosoprană de coloratură, renumită pentru interpretările sale ale operelor lui Händel, Mozart și Rossini. A câștigat de două ori premiul Grammy pentru cea mai bună înregistrare vocală solo în muzica clasică (2012, 2016).
Albumul Eden a fost lansat în 2022 pe CD la casa de discuri Erato. Programul său, alcătuit din 16 piese cu o tematică legată de natură, acoperă un spectru temporal larg – de la secolul al XVII-lea până la secolul al XXI-lea. Pe lângă compozitori ca Francesco Cavalli, Georg Friedrich Händel, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Richard Wagner sau Gustav Mahler, îl regăsim și pe Josef Mysliveček. Lucrarea The First Morning of the World a britanicei Rachel Portman pe textul poetului american Gene Scheer a fost compusă special pentru acest album. DiDonato cântă acompaniată de orchestra Il Pomo d'Oro, sub conducerea dirijorului Maxim Emelyanychev.
