Super Furry Animals este o trupă galeză de rock alternativ fondată în 1993 la Cardiff. Se numără printre cele mai importante formații muzicale din Țara Galilor, cunoscută pentru stilul eclectic care îmbină pop, rock progresiv, electronică și punk.
Rings Around the World a apărut în 2001 ca al cincilea album de studio al trupei și primul lansat de o casă de discuri majoră, Epic Records. Albumul a fost inovator la momentul lansării — primul album din istorie lansat simultan pe CD audio și DVD. Albumul a ajuns pe locul 3 în clasamentul britanic, a fost nominalizat la premiul Mercury, iar revista Mojo l-a desemnat albumul anului. Din punct de vedere muzical combină pop, rock progresiv, jungle, electronică, techno, punk și death metal. Cu ocazia celei de-a douăzecea aniversări, este lansată o ediție remasterizată de pe benzile originale pe 3 CD-uri, cu demo-uri, remix-uri și înregistrări bonus (în total 55 de piese). Din album provin single-urile Juxtapozed with U, (Drawing) Rings Around the World și It's Not the End of the World?.
