Thunder este un grup britanic de hard rock fondat în 1989, când vocalistul Danny Bowes, chitaristul Luke Morley și bateristul Gary „Harry” James au părăsit formația Terraplane. În anii '90, Thunder și-a construit o bază devotată de fani în principal în Anglia natală, dar și în Japonia.
Albumul Laughing on Judgement Day din 1992 a apărut pe CD la casa de discuri EMI și a continuat succesul albumului de debut Backstreet Symphony. Înregistrat la Outside Studios în Checkendon, sub producția chitaristului Luke Morley și a lui Andy Taylor, mixajul final a avut loc la AIR Studios din Londra. Discul a ajuns pe locul al doilea în clasamentele britanice și a fost distins cu disc de aur. Această ediție extinsă conține 16 piese, inclusiv două piese bonus live, A Better Man și Like a Satellite, surprinzând hard rock-ul melodic și energic cu sunetul caracteristic al trupei.
La momentul lansării, Thunder activa în formula cu cinci membri: Danny Bowes (voce), Luke Morley (chitară), Ben Matthews (chitară), Mark „Snake” Luckhurst (chitară bas) și Gary „Harry” James (tobe).
