Ancient Bards este o trupă italiană de symphonic metal fondată în ianuarie 2006. Muzica lor combină aranjamente orchestrale monumentale cu riff-uri metal și voce feminină.
Albumul Artifex apare pe două CD-uri. Primul disc conține paisprezece piese, inclusiv Luminance and Abyss, Soulbound Symphony și Sea of Solitude. Al doilea disc oferă versiuni instrumentale ale tuturor înregistrărilor, permițând ascultătorilor să se bucure de aranjamentele orchestrale și elementele simfonice fără voce.
