Joan Baez este o cântăreață americană de muzică folk, compozitoare și activistă politică, a cărei carieră debutează la sfârșitul anilor '50. Multe dintre cântecele sale abordează teme actuale și probleme sociale. Este cunoscută pentru vocea sa soprană distinctivă și pentru angajamentul pe toată viața în apărarea drepturilor omului.
