Black Sabbath a fost o trupă engleză de heavy metal fondată la Birmingham în 1968 de vocalistul Ozzy Osbourne, chitaristul Tony Iommi, basistul Geezer Butler și bateristul Bill Ward. Trupa a contribuit la definirea genului heavy metal prin sonoritatea sa unică bazată pe riff-uri întunecate și texte inspirate de groază.
Albumul Black Sabbath a fost lansat în 1970 ca album de debut al trupei și a devenit una dintre lucrările fundamentale ale heavy metalului. Această ediție deluxe oferă înregistrările remasterizate din 2009 pe două CD-uri. Primul disc conține piese clasice precum Black Sabbath, N.I.B., The Wizard sau piesa de zece minute Warning. Al doilea disc bonus oferă versiuni alternative și înregistrări instrumentale, inclusiv Wicked World și mixaje cu voce modificată sau instrumente suplimentare.
La album au contribuit Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler și Bill Ward.
