Buddy Guy este un chitarist și vocalist american de blues, reprezentant al bluesului din Chicago. În 1985 a fost inclus în Blues Hall of Fame, iar în 2005 în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Revista Rolling Stone l-a plasat pe locul treizeci în clasamentul celor mai buni chitariști din toate timpurile.
Albumul The Blues Is Alive and Well a fost lansat în iunie 2018 la casa de discuri Silvertone Records ca al optsprezecelea său album de studio. Vinilul cuprinde 15 piese, printre care se remarcă Cognac, The Blues Is Alive and Well (care dă titlul albumului) și You Did the Crime. Discul confirmă energia neslăbită a lui Guy și capacitatea sa de a rămâne la cel mai înalt nivel al bluesului contemporan.
