Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds este o trupă australiană de rock înființată în 1983, a cărei muzică cu nuanțe întunecate și texte poetice au influențat o întreagă generație de formații alternative.
Albumul Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! a apărut în martie 2008 la casa de discuri Mute Records. Este al paisprezecelea album de studio al trupei, înregistrat în studioul londonez The State of the Ark în vara anului 2007, produs de Nick Launay. Această ediție cu două discuri conține 44 de piese. Pe lângă cele unsprezece compoziții originale (Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, We Call Upon the Author, More News From Nowhere), oferă mixul surround 5.1 complet al întregului album și piese bonus. Aceasta a fost ultima înregistrare cu Mick Harvey, care a părăsit trupa în 2008.
La album au colaborat Mick Harvey, Nick Cave, Thomas Wydler, Conway Savage, Martyn P. Casey, Jim Sclavunos, Warren Ellis, James Johnston și Anita Lane.
