Elvis Costello, pe numele real Declan Patrick MacManus, este un cântăreț, compozitor și producător muzical britanic asociat cu mișcarea new wave de la sfârșitul anilor '70. În 2003 a fost introdus în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, iar pe parcursul carierei a câștigat două premii Grammy.
Compilația The Songs of Bacharach & Costello a fost lansată în 2023 de casa de discuri UMe și reunește pe două discuri CD colaborarea creativă dintre Costello și compozitorul american Burt Bacharach. Colecția cuprinde 28 de piese, printre care se remarcă God Give Me Strength, This House Is Empty Now sau Toledo. Această colaborare a unit popul sofisticat al lui Bacharach cu abordarea lirică strălucitoare și energică a lui Costello.
