Depeche Mode este o formație electronică britanică fondată în Basildon în 1980, una dintre cele mai de succes formații new wave și synthpop. Abordarea lor inovatoare în utilizarea sintetizatoarelor și a samplingului a modelat scena electronică modernă, iar albumul Violator din 1990 este considerat o piatră de temelie a muzicii electronice. În 2020, formația a fost introdusă în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Playing the Angel | The 12″ Singles este o colecție limitată unică lansată în 2022 de casa de discuri Mute pe zece discuri de vinil LP. Box set-ul reunește 35 de versiuni extinse și remix-uri ale single-urilor de pe albumul Playing the Angel — semnate de Sasha, Jacques Lu Cont, Tiga, M83, Holden, Tiefschwarz, Chab și alți producători. Pachetul include un poster și cod de descărcare. Fiecare disc prezintă diferite versiuni ale hiturilor precum Precious, A Pain That I'm Used To, Suffer Well sau John the Revelator.
În momentul lansării box set-ului, formația era alcătuită din Vince Clarke, Andrew Fletcher, Dave Gahan și Martin L. Gore.
