The Doors a fost o formație americană de rock înființată în 1965 la Los Angeles, având ca membri pe solistul Jim Morrison, pianistul Ray Manzarek, chitaristul Robby Krieger și toboșarul John Densmore. Reprezintă una dintre cele mai importante și controversate formații din istoria muzicii anilor șaizeci, care a influențat mulți alți artiști, în special datorită versurilor lui Morrison și a prestației sale carismatice.
Live at the Matrix surprinde înregistrările originale ale concertelor pe care The Doors le-au susținut în martie 1967 la clubul The Matrix din San Francisco, al cărui coproprietar era Marty Balin de la Jefferson Airplane. Albumul a fost lansat în 2002 de casa de discuri Bud Music și conține înregistrări remasterizate de pe benzile originale de 7 inci de primă generație. Ediția limitată pe vinil de 14.000 de exemplare oferă opt piese, inclusiv Light My Fire, The End și When the Music's Over, în total aproape 47 de minute de prestații blues rock și psihedelice ale trupei, din perioada succeselor sale timpurii.
