Dream Theater este o trupă americană de progressive metal fondată în 1985 la Boston. Se numără printre cei mai importanți reprezentanți ai progressive metalului și este renumită pentru performanțele instrumentale virtuoase și compozițiile complexe.
Albumul Lost Not Forgotten Archives pe vinil colorat conține înregistrări live din turneul din anii 2011–2012. Înregistrat în diverse orașe – de la Phoenix, trecând prin Londra, Austin, Montreal, până la Tel Aviv și Tokyo – albumul surprinde energia Dream Theater pe scenă. Setlistul include atât piese epice de lungă durată precum The Count of Tuscany sau Learning to Live, cât și clasice ca Under a Glass Moon ori Another Day. Discul conține de asemenea un solo de tobe live și piesa instrumentală Ytse Jam.
În momentul înregistrărilor, Dream Theater era format din John Petrucci (chitară), John Myung (chitară bas), Mike Portnoy (tobe), James LaBrie (voce) și Jordan Rudess (clape).
