Dream Theater este o formație americană de metal progresiv fondată în 1985 la Boston. Trupa se numără printre cei mai importanți reprezentanți ai genului, combinând virtuozitate tehnică cu compoziții monumentale și elemente ale rockului progresiv din anii '70.
Albumul Lost Not Forgotten Archives: Images and Words – Live in Japan, 2017 pe CD surprinde un concert din seria Lost Not Forgotten Archives, lansat de casa de discuri Sony Music în 2021 în format digipack. Înregistrarea din turneul japonez din 2017 aduce versiuni live ale 8 piese de pe albumul clasic Images and Words, inclusiv Pull Me Under, Metropolis – Part 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper și Learning to Live.
La momentul lansării înregistrării, Dream Theater era formată din John Petrucci (chitară), John Myung (chitară bas), James LaBrie (voce), Jordan Rudess (clape), Mike Mangini (tobe) și Steve Stone.
