Dream Theater este o trupă americană de metal progresiv fondată în 1985 la Boston. Se numără printre pionierii metalului progresiv tehnic, cu o instrumentație virtuoză.
Lansarea de arhivă Lost Not Forgotten Archives: Making Of Falling Into Infinity (1997) surprinde procesul de înregistrare al celui de-al cincilea album de studio al trupei. Conține piste de bază (basic tracks), overdub-uri și piese în diferite faze de producție — de la părți instrumentale, la vocale și până la aranjamentele finale. Materialul documentează munca la piesele New Millenium, Peruvian Skies, Hollow Years, Lines In the Sand și altele. Sunt incluse și versiuni nerealizate și improvizații de studio. Ediția limitată este disponibilă pe vinil colorat (2 LP) și CD.
