The Drifters este un grup vocal american de soul și R&B fondat în 1953 la New York. Formația a devenit celebră în anii '50 și '60 cu lideri ca Clyde McPhatter și Ben E. King. Componența sa s-a schimbat foarte des de-a lungul deceniilor – peste 60 de cântăreți au trecut prin grup. În 1988, formația a fost introdusă în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Under The Boardwalk: The Collection a apărut în 2020 la casa de discuri BMG Rights Management ca o compilație pe 2 CD-uri în ambalaj digipack. Colecția conține 28 de piese și oferă o trecere în revistă a hiturilor clasice ale grupului. Printre cele mai cunoscute piese se numără Stand by Me, Save the Last Dance for Me, Under the Boardwalk, Up on the Roof și There Goes My Baby – melodii care au definit genurile doo wop și rhythm and blues.
