Rory Gallagher a fost un chitarist, cântăreț și compozitor irlandez de blues rock, considerat prima stea rock irlandeză. A devenit celebru pentru stilul său virtuoz la chitară și pentru prestațiile sale scenice captivante.
Albumul Deuce a apărut în 1971 la casa de discuri Polydor, ca al doilea album solo de studio în cariera lui Gallagher. Spre deosebire de debutul său, unde căuta un sunet precis și organizat, de această dată a încercat să surprindă energia prestațiilor live direct în studio. Înregistrările au fost realizate la Tangerine Studios din Londra. Această ediție extinsă pe patru discuri conține în total 55 de piese, inclusiv versiuni alternative ale compozițiilor precum Used to Be, Maybe I Will sau In Your Town.
