Grandmaster Flash, pe numele adevărat Joseph Saddler, este un DJ și producător originar din Barbados, al cărui rol în istoria hip-hop-ului este incontestabil. Proiectul său Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five a fost primul proiect hip-hop introdus în Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
Cu ocazia celei de-a 25-a aniversări apare reeditarea albumului Grandmaster Flash Presents: Salsoul Jam 2000 din 1997 pe dublu-vinil. Albumul prezintă o trecere în revistă a celor mai bune înregistrări din catalogul casei de discuri Salsoul – clasice disco, funk și soul de la The Salsoul Orchestra, Loleatta Holloway, First Choice, Skyy, Double Exposure și alții. Grandmaster Flash leagă piesele într-un mix continuu, demonstrându-și măiestria de DJ pe o colecție selectată de hituri dansante din anii '70 și '80.
