Jerry Harrison este un muzician american cunoscut ca membru al The Modern Lovers, iar mai târziu ca claviaturist și chitarist al trupei Talking Heads. În 2002 a fost introdus în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The Red and the Black a apărut în 1981 ca primul album solo al lui Harrison, la care au contribuit Bernie Worrell și Adrian Belew. Această ediție extinsă pe vinil Record Store Day 2023 prezintă înregistrarea pe două LP-uri colorate (roșu și negru) și conține cele nouă piese originale completate cu șapte versiuni instrumentale. Printre piese se numără Things Fall Apart, Fast Karma/No Questions sau The Red Nights.
