The Jam a fost o trupă britanică punk și mod revival din Woking, al cărei stil se baza pe punk, new wave și beat-ul britanic din anii '60. Membrii erau Paul Weller (voce, chitară), Bruce Foxton (chitară bas, voce) și Rick Buckler (tobe). Între 1977 și 1982, trupa a obținut patru single-uri pe primul loc în clasamentele britanice și optsprezece hituri consecutive în Top 40.
Albumul Snap! a apărut inițial în 1983 ca o compilație retrospectivă care rezuma cariera The Jam. Această reeditare pe vinil din 2019 oferă o panoramă a momentelor de vârf ale grupului de-a lungul celor șase albume, incluzând single-urile „Going Underground”, „Town Called Malice”, „Start!” și „Beat Surrender”. Colecția cuprinde versiuni de single și versiuni remixate distribuite pe două discuri LP cu un total de 29 de piese.
