Joe Bonamassa este un chitarist și cântăreț american de blues rock cunoscut pentru vocea sa expresivă și tehnica rafinată la chitară. A început să cânte la vârsta de patru ani, iar la doisprezece ani a cântat deja alături de B. B. King. Din anul 2000 a lansat cincisprezece albume solo, dintre care unsprezece au ajuns pe primul loc în topul blues al revistei Billboard.
Albumul B.B. King's Blues Summit 100 a fost lansat de casa de discuri Provogue pe un vinil cu șase fețe. Proiectul reunește 30 de piese din repertoriul lui B. B. King, pe care Bonamassa îi invită pe o serie stelară de colaboratori — printre ei Buddy Guy, Slash, George Benson, Jimmie Vaughan, Gary Clark Jr., Warren Haynes, Keb' Mo', Robben Ford și Trombone Shorty. În repertoriu se regăsesc „The Thrill Is Gone”, „Sweet Little Angel”, „Why I Sing The Blues” și „Three O' Clock Blues”. Fiecare piesă prezintă un invitat diferit, astfel încât albumul surprinde bogăția scenei blues de-a lungul generațiilor și stilurilor.
