Sir Elton Hercules John este un cântăreț, compozitor și pianist englez, a cărui creație, începând cu anii '70, a influențat în mod fundamental muzica pop mondială. Colaborarea sa de lungă durată cu textierul Bernie Taupin este una dintre cele mai fructuoase din istoria muzicii populare.
Triplu-albumul Jewel Box a apărut în 2020 la casa de discuri EMI ca o amplă compilație de înregistrări rare din catalogul extins al lui John. Colecția cuprinde 40 de piese, printre care se numără piese de album mai puțin cunoscute, fețe B și piese nelansate anterior, împreună cu demo-uri. Selecția materialului a fost realizată de însuși Elton John; pe ediția pe vinil apar compoziții timpurii precum Come Back Baby, Scarecrow, Skyline Pigeon sau Regimental Sgt. Zippo, documentând drumul creativ al lui John de-a lungul spectrului de genuri, de la balade de pian la piese rock și boogie cu inflexiuni gospel.
