Kaipa este o trupă suedeză de rock progresiv fondată în 1973 de claviaturistul Hans Lundin și basistul Tomas Eriksson. După destrămarea din 1982, grupul s-a reformat în 2000 cu o formulă nouă.
Albumul Notes From The Past a apărut în 2002 la casa de discuri Inside Out Music și marchează revenirea trupei după o lungă pauză. Această reeditare din 2022 pe CD cuprinde unsprezece piese, inclusiv compoziția în două părți Notes From the Past, care deschide și încheie albumul. Înregistrarea îmbină structuri de rock progresiv simfonic cu pasaje de claviaturi și aranjamente complexe.
La album au participat Patrik Lundström (voce), Hans Lundin (voce, claviaturi), Roine Stolt (chitară), Jonas Reingold (chitară bas), Morgan Ågren (tobe) și Aleena Gibson (vocale de acompaniament).
