Legion of the Damned este o trupă olandeză de thrash/death metal din Helden, care activează sub acest nume din 2005 (anterior ca Occult). Versurile lor se concentrează pe motive de groază, teme ocultiste întunecate, chestiuni religioase și viziuni apocaliptice.
Albumul The Poison Chalice a fost lansat în 2023 de casa de discuri Napalm Records în format dublu CD digipack și cuprinde 25 de piese. Primul disc prezintă material nou de studio, incluzând piese precum Contamination, Skulls Adorn the Traitor's Gate și Beheading of the Godhead. Al doilea disc conține înregistrări realizate pentru streamul European Metal Festival Alliance 2020, oferind publicului o experiență live unică a acestui festival online.
La momentul lansării albumului, trupa activa în formula cu șase membri: Maurice Swinkels (voce), Richard Ebisch, Twan van Geel și Fabian Verweij (chitară), Harold Gielen (chitară bas) și Erik Fleuren (tobe).
