Katie Melua este o cântăreață și compozitoare britanică de origine georgiană. Muzica sa îmbină elemente de jazz, blues și folk cu un stil vocal distinctiv și plin de emoție.
Albumul Call Off the Search a fost lansat în noiembrie 2003 la casa de discuri Dramatico și a reprezentat debutul său — în ianuarie 2004 a ajuns pe primul loc în topul britanic, iar în primele cinci luni de vânzări a obținut certificarea de patru ori platină. Reediția extinsă pe două discuri cu ocazia aniversării a 20 de ani de la lansare conține 29 de piese: albumul original cu piese precum The Closest Thing to Crazy, Crawling Up a Hill și Call Off the Search, versiuni demo bonus și o versiune live de la Royal Albert Hall. Materialul a fost produs de Mike Batt; Melua a participat și în calitate de compozitoare la două piese.
