Mercenary este o trupă daneză de melodic death metal fondată în 1991 în Aalborg. Muzica lor îmbină elemente de power metal și metal progresiv.
Albumul Soundtrack for the End Times a fost lansat în 2023 la casa de discuri NoiseArt Records într-un format digipack cu patru panouri și un booklet de șaisprezece pagini. Cele unsprezece piese variază de la energicul Burning in Reverse, trecând prin Anthem for the Anxious, până la piesa finală de șapte minute, Beyond the Waves. Sonoritatea generală a albumului combină riff-uri melodice de death metal cu pasaje puternice de power metal.
La album au participat Mikkel Sandager, Morten Sandager, Martin Buus, Jakob Mølbjerg, Mike Park și Rene Pedersen.
