Taverner Consort, Choir & Players este un ansamblu britanic vocal-instrumental specializat în interpretarea muzicii renascentiste și baroce. Sub conducerea dirijorului Andrew Parrott, ansamblul interpretează opere în maniera autentică pe instrumente de epocă.
Albumul Purcell: Music For Pleasure And Evotion pe două CD-uri prezintă o selecție reprezentativă din opera compozitorului baroc englez Henry Purcell. Înregistrarea cuprinde suite de teatru, piese profane precum If Music Be the Food of Love sau Three Parts Upon a Ground, lucrări religioase – antemul Rejoice in the Lord Alway, Funeral Sentences, Te Deum și Jubilate – precum și compoziții instrumentale (fantezii, pavane, Ground in Gamut). Ilustrează muzica lui Purcell scrisă atât pentru plăcere, cât și pentru evlavie.
