Robert Plant este un cântăreț rock britanic, cunoscut mai ales ca frontman al legendarului Led Zeppelin, dar și pentru o amplă carieră solo, începând cu anii '80. Revista Rolling Stone l-a clasat în 2008 pe locul 15 în topul celor mai remarcabili o sută de cântăreți de rock and roll, iar trei ani mai târziu cititorii aceleiași publicații i-au desemnat vocea drept cea mai bună din rock.
Compilația Digging Deep: Subterranea a fost lansată în 2020 la casa de discuri Es Paranza. Acest album dublu trece în revistă creația solo a lui Plant din anii '80 până în prezent, materialul a fost conceput ca proiect însoțitor pentru seria de podcast-uri Digging Deep with Robert Plant, în care cântărețul povestește despre compunerea și înregistrarea fiecărei piese. Compilația conține 30 de piese, inclusiv hituri precum Shine It All Around, Heaven Knows, 29 Palms, dar și înregistrări de album mai puțin cunoscute și piese inedite anterior, din cele patru decenii de carieră solo.
