Psychotic Waltz este o trupă americană de progressive metal fondată în 1988 în El Cajon, California. Formația, care inițial activa sub numele Aslan, și-a construit o reputație favorabilă pentru abordarea sa progresivă a heavy metalului, cu influențe psihedelice.
A Social Grace este albumul de debut lansat în 1990 de casa de discuri Sony Music. Această ediție digipack pe două discuri conține 28 de piese — albumul original cu 13 compoziții de studio este completat de versiuni live ale unor piese esențiale precum …And the Devil Cried, Halo of Thorns sau I of the Storm. Albumul este dedicat memoriei lui Mel Blanc, Graham Chapman, Jim Henson și Cliff Burton, care au lăsat amprente pozitive în viețile membrilor trupei. La caracterul discului contribuie structura progressive metal, împletită cu elemente psihedelice.
La momentul lansării, trupa era formată din Buddy Lackey (voce), Dan Rock și Brian McAlpin (chitară), Ward Evans (chitară bas) și Norm Leggio (tobe).
