Queensrÿche este o trupă americană de metal progresiv din Bellevue, Washington, fondată în 1982. Grupul s-a remarcat prin îmbinarea heavy metalului cu elemente de rock progresiv și aranjamente elaborate.
Box set-ul Empire (ediție remasterizată din 2021, casa de discuri Capitol Records) aduce cel mai de succes album al trupei, lansat în septembrie 1990 și certificat triplu platină în SUA. Pachetul conține patru discuri – albumul de studio remasterizat cu unsprezece piese, CD cu înregistrări bonus și single edit-uri, inclusiv Silent Lucidity și Empire, concertul live de la Hammersmith Odeon din Londra din 1990 și DVD. Balada Silent Lucidity a devenit cel mai mare hit al grupului, ajungând pe prima poziție în clasamentul Mainstream Rock și pe locul nouă în Billboard Hot 100. Albumul a câștigat premiul Northwest Area Music Award pentru cea mai bună înregistrare metal.
La momentul lansării, formația era alcătuită din chitariștii Chris DeGarmo și Michael Wilton, vocalistul Geoff Tate, basistul Eddie Jackson și toboșarul Scott Rockenfield.
