R.E.M. a fost o formație americană de rock înființată în 1980 în Athens, Georgia, de către bateristul Bill Berry, chitaristul Peter Buck, basistul Mike Mills și vocalistul Michael Stipe. Trupa a fost una dintre primele formații de rock alternativ care au ajuns să fie apreciate de un public larg.
Compilația The Best of R.E.M. at the BBC a apărut în 2018 la casa de discuri Craft Recordings în format 2CD, în ediție digisleeve. Cuprinde 34 de piese înregistrate pentru BBC, printre care Losing My Religion, Man on the Moon, Radio Free Europe și What's the Frequency, Kenneth?. Colecția prezintă o imagine de ansamblu asupra creației trupei, care s-a destrămat în 2011 după ce a vândut peste 90 de milioane de albume în întreaga lume.
