Saxon este o trupă britanică de heavy metal fondată în 1975 la Barnsley, una dintre cele mai importante trupe ale mișcării new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM). În anii '80 au obținut un succes comercial notabil, albumele lor ajungând în mod regulat pe primele poziții ale clasamentelor britanice, iar trupa și-a construit o bază loială de fani în întreaga lume.
Albumul live The Eagle Has Landed este o ediție remasterizată pe vinil colorat care documentează energia Saxon pe scenele de concert. Înregistrările includ piese clasice precum Motorcycle Man, Princess of the Night, Wheels of Steel sau Heavy Metal Thunder, care surprind puterea trupei în interpretare live.
