Soundgarden a fost o formație rock americană înființată în Seattle în 1984, fiind unul dintre pionierii grunge-ului. Împreună cu Nirvana, Alice in Chains și Pearl Jam, a format așa-numitul Marele Cvartet din Seattle. Formația s-a destrămat în 1997 și s-a reunit în 2010.
Albumul live Live From the Artists Den a apărut în 2019 pe dublu CD la casa de discuri UMe în format digisleeve. Înregistrarea conține 29 de piese și oferă o selecție reprezentativă din repertoriul trupei — de la clasice precum Spoonman, Black Hole Sun sau Outshined la compoziții mai recente de pe albumul King Animal. Albumul documentează un concert din seria Artists Den, care reunește artiști importanți cu un cadru intim, cameral. Soundgarden a prezentat aici ritmuri grunge energice și forța brută a heavy rock-ului care i-a făcut una dintre cele mai importante trupe ale anilor '90.
La momentul lansării albumului, formula era alcătuită din chitaristul Kim Thayil, toboșarul Matt Cameron și basistul Ben Shepherd.
