Joe Hisaishi este un compozitor și dirijor japonez renumit pentru coloanele sonore ale filmelor anime de la studioul Ghibli. Munca sa se distinge prin aranjamente orchestrale și bogăție melodică.
Albumul Tale Of The Princess Kaguya este coloana sonoră a filmului anime regizat de Isao Takahata din 2013. Lansat pe vinil colorat în ediție limitată cu obi și insert. Coloana sonoră cuprinde 37 de piese orchestrale care redau atmosfera basmului clasic japonez – de la motive delicate precum The Little Princess sau Mountain Hamlet până la piesa epică The Procession of Celestial Beings. Muzica îmbină instrumentația tradițională japoneză cu tratamentul simfonic.
