Coloana sonoră a filmului de animație The Imaginary reprezintă opera compozitorului japonez Tamai Kenji și apare pe dublu vinil color (variantă roșie și galbenă).
Compilația îmbină compoziții orchestrale cu motive emoționante care caracterizează povestea despre personaje imaginare. Muzica alternează pasaje melodramatice precum Emily's Theme și Bunting's Theme cu piese dinamice ca Attack of the Yeti sau Escaping. Albumul conține și adaptări clasice — aria lui Händel Lascia ch'io pianga și introducerea din Also sprach Zarathustra de Richard Strauss.
