The Staple Singers este un grup american de gospel, soul și R&B din Chicago, fondat de vocalistul și chitaristul Roebuck „Pops” Staples împreună cu copiii săi: Cleotha, Pervis, Yvonne și Mavis. S-au consacrat cu hituri din anii '70, precum Respect Yourself, I'll Take You There și Let's Do It Again. În 1999, grupul a fost introdus în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Albumul Family Tree a apărut în 1977 la casa de discuri Wounded Bird Records. Acest CD conține opt piese, incluzând What You Doing Tonight, Let's Go to the Disco și I Honestly Love You. Înregistrarea îmbină soul-ul cu elemente de funk și disco.
