Cat Stevens este numele de scenă anterior al lui Yusuf Islam, cântăreț-compozitor și multiinstrumentist britanic cunoscut pentru muzica sa folk și pop. După convertirea la islam în 1977, a adoptat numele Yusuf Islam, iar la muzica seculară a revenit în 2006.
Albumul Matthew & Son a fost lansat ca album de debut al lui Stevens în 1967. Conține paisprezece piese, inclusiv hituri precum „I Love My Dog”, „Here Comes My Baby” și „Matthew & Son”, care au pus bazele carierei sale.
