Trupa britanică The Style Council a fost fondată în 1983 de Paul Weller, fostul vocalist și chitarist al formației The Jam, și de claviaturistul Mick Talbot. Grupul îmbina elemente de soul, jazz și pop cu o sonoritate dansantă subtilă și cu angajament social.
Albumul Café Bleu a apărut în 1984 ca debut al trupei și a adus hituri precum Long Hot Summer și You're The Best Thing. Această ediție extinsă pe șase fețe de vinil cuprinde pe lângă piesele originale și versiuni extinse, demo-uri și variații instrumentale, inclusiv My Ever Changing Moods și Dropping Bombs On The Whitehouse.
Printre membrii permanenți ai formației s-au numărat și bateristul Steve White și vocalista Dee C. Lee.
