The Style Council a fost o trupă britanică pop-new wave fondată în 1983 la Woking de Paul Weller, fostul frontman al The Jam, împreună cu claviatistul Mick Talbot. Trupa a explorat un sunet mai bogat din punct de vedere stilistic decât The Jam, combinând pop, soul, jazz și hip-hop.
Compilația Long Hot Summers: The Story of The Style Council a apărut în 2020 pe 2 CD la casa de discuri Polydor și cuprinde în total 37 de piese. Setul include versiuni extinse ale hiturilor precum Long Hot Summer (7:02), My Ever Changing Moods sau Shout to the Top!, versiuni timpurii rare (Headstart for Happiness, The Paris Match) și alte piese din discografia trupei, inclusiv titluri ca Walls Come Tumbling Down! sau You're the Best Thing. Oferă o privire cuprinzătoare asupra creației The Style Council, care a obținut succes în principal în Marea Britanie, deși piesele trupei s-au impus și în Australia și Noua Zeelandă.
