Supergrass a fost o trupă indie rock britanică din Oxford, înființată în 1993. Inspirați de grupuri precum Buzzcocks, T.Rex, The Jam și The Kinks, au devenit rapid parte a scenei britanice de chitară și au avut succes încă de la primul album I Should Coco din 1995.
Reedice extinsă pe 2CD aduce al treilea album eponym Supergrass din 1999, cunoscut și sub numele de „The X-Ray Album” datorită copertei sale. Discul original a fost lansat în septembrie 1999 și a ajuns pe locul trei în topul britanic. Albumul combină energia rock cu influențe glam și pop mai sofisticat – conține în total 32 de piese, inclusiv hituri precum Moving, Pumping on Your Stereo și Mary. Al doilea disc oferă înregistrări bonus: remixuri noi din 2022 de John Leckie și John Cornfield, înregistrări live de la festivalul T in the Park din 2000 și demo-uri inedite. Lansat de BMG, ambalat în digipak trifold cu o broșură de 20 de pagini cu fotografii și note.
La momentul lansării albumului, Supergrass era format din Gaz Coombes, Danny Goffey și Mick Quinn.
