The Temptations este un grup vocal american fondat la Detroit în 1961, cunoscut pentru seria de single-uri și albume de succes la casa de discuri Motown. Grupul este apreciat până astăzi pentru coregrafia sa caracteristică, armoniile vocale distincte și costumele de scenă expresive.
Albumul dublu Anthology: The Best of The Temptations a apărut în 1995 pe CD la casa de discuri Motown și reunește cea mai bună creație a grupului din perioada apogeului. Compilația a fost remasterizată digital la studioul This Way Productions din New York și conține 46 de înregistrări. Dintre hit-urile timpurii găsim My Girl, Ain't Too Proud to Beg sau Get Ready, alături de piese ulterioare precum I Wish It Would Rain sau versiunea live a piesei Ol' Man River. Antologia acoperă în principal soul și funk, dar include și incursiunile ulterioare în disco.
La data apariției, în componența grupului se aflau Otis Williams, Charles Blagmon, Larry Braggs, Nate Evans, Theo Peoples, Aaron „A Train” Smith, Ron Tyson, precum și membrii formației vocale originale The Temptations.
