Transatlantic este un supergrup american de progressive rock fondat în 1999, a cărui muzică combină compoziții complexe cu execuție instrumentală virtuoasă. Grupul este format din muzicieni experimentați, cunoscuți din alte proiecte progresive consacrate.
The Absolute Universe a fost lansat pe 5 februarie 2021 la casa de discuri Inside Out Music și reprezintă al cincilea și ultimul album de studio al formației. Acest set pe trei discuri conține în total 28 de piese și prezintă un opus muzical amplu, caracteristic activității grupului. Albumul oferă compoziții variate, de la uvertura simfonică și piese atmosferice precum Solitude sau Owl Howl până la epica progresivă The Greatest Story Never Ends. Înregistrarea încheie moștenirea creativă a trupei, care s-a destrămat după lansarea acestui album.
