Unanimated este o trupă suedeză de death metal fondată în 1988 în Stockholm, activând în genul death metal melodic cu elemente de black metal. După primele casete demo, trupa a devenit parte a scenei underground de metal din Suedia.
In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead este albumul de debut al trupei, lansat în 1993 de casa de discuri Pavement Music. Albumul conține 11 piese și se numără printre exemplele timpurii de death metal melodic, combinând duritatea death metalului cu elemente atmosferice și linii melodice. Este disponibil pe CD. În ciuda recenziilor pozitive, albumul a rămas un titlu cult în scena underground, parțial din cauza casei de discuri mici și a scăderii interesului comercial pentru death metal la mijlocul anilor '90. Printre piesele remarcabile se numără Blackness of the Fallen Star, Fire Storm și piesa de titlu In the Forest of the Dreaming Dead.
La momentul lansării albumului, trupa era formată din Jojje Bohlin, Micke Jansson, Daniel Lofthagen, Jonas Mellberg, Peter Stjärnvind și Jocke Westman.
